International Flavors and Fragrances Award
The IFF Award for outstanding research on “Molecular Systems of Taste” is made possible by the generous support of International Flavors and Fragrances Inc, and is awarded for critical advances of long-lasting impact, in the understanding of the molecular basis of taste. The award is $6000 and the awardee is asked to give the IFF Lecture at the annual AChemS meeting. Eligibility: Researchers comprehensively involved with both the theoretical and practical aspects of the research, who have made original contributions on the molecular basis of taste, published within the last three years. Nominations: may be made by AChemS members. The nominee need not be an AChemS member. Documentation for the nomination should include: 1) A letter of support outlining the important contributions of the nominee; 2) Additional information on the nominee including current position and title, address, telephone, e-mail address, year of receipt of Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) and a list of publications (alternatively a full CV); 3) Up to five other supplemental letters of support; 4) Although reprints of the candidate’s work are welcome, no more than three should be submitted and these should be in the form of PDFs or URL links, if possible.
All nominations must be postmarked by January 16, 2009.
