Biogenex Award for Standardization in Immunohistochemistry

Sponsored by: Biogenex Award Amount: Biogenex sponsors this award with a $1000 grant. This award will be presented each year that a nominee/applicant has been selected. The award recipient will be recognized at the awards banquet during the annual NSH Symposium/ Convention.

Award Criteria: Because of the technological revolution, it becomes imperative that laboratory procedures become standardized to achieve highly reproducible results with increased efficiencies.

This award will be presented annually to a NSH member certified in histology, who has contributed to the advancement of histotechnology standardization in any facet of histopathology, to include but not limited to: antigen retrieval, microtomy, staining (automated or manual), i.e., H&E, special stains, immunohistochemistry or image analysis.

This may be demonstrated by:

Publication of research or abstract presentations before peers on standardization.
Workshops or teleconferences on histopathology standardization.

The Applicant must submit:

Proof of certification.
An up-to-date curriculum vitae.
Letters of support from colleagues, supervisor and/or pathologist.
Copies of all papers, abstracts or handouts used for the purpose stated above.
