Hilibrand Autism Fellowship in Adolescence and Adulthood

Beginning January 1, 2012, the Child Study Center will accept applications for the Hilibrand Fellowship in the area of autism focusing on adolescents and adults. This fellowship is for a two-year period to begin July 2012. The program accepts one scholar a year and the Hilibrand Fellow will be located at the Yale Child Study Center. We seek highly motivated candidates from diverse backgrounds who are interested in pursuing clinical and research activities focused on adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum. A doctoral degree (M.D. or Ph.D.) is required. The selected Fellow will be directly mentored by senior faculty at the Yale Child Study Center and will be involved in a highly active community of clinicians and researchers devoted to understanding the psychological and developmental needs of children and their families. The fellow will also participate in research, teaching, and clinical activities within the autism program and the Child Study Center.

A complete application includes 3 copies of each of the following items:

Curriculum vitae, including a list of all publications
Letter summarizing previous and current research, and its significance to the present fellowship
Research project summary: scientific abstract stating project’s long-term objectives and aims, with a focus on the translational nature of the research
Three publications
Three sealed and signed letters of recommendation which speak directly to the candidate’s potential
