Call for Applications: J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society International Traveling Fellowship
The JRGOS is sponsoring a Traveling Fellowship for any member who desires to visit and work in a 3rd world country or any international arena with a critical need for orthopaedic care.
The guidelines for the traveling fellowship are as follows:
1. Applicant must be a member of the J. Robert Gladden Orthopadic Society in good standing.
2. All travel arrangements and plans must be coordinated through an existing organization i.e. Orthopaedics Overseas and/or Drs. for United Medical Missions.
Requirements:
1. Completed application form, which includes proposed visitation site.
2. Appropriate confirmation from international organization.
Finances:
The JRGOS will pay an award of up to $10,000 to cover reimbursement for travel expenses. Expenses above that amount are the responsibility of the applicant.
Reporting:
The winner will be expected to give a report at the JRGOS annual luncheon, which is held in conjunction with the AAOS Annual Meeting.
