Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation/The Foundation for Alcohol Research Grants Program

ABMRF/The Foundation for Alcohol Research is a nonprofit independent research organization that provides support for scientific studies on the use and prevention of misuse of alcohol. It is one of the few organizations in the United States and Canada that provides funds for interdisciplinary research in the biological, medical, epidemiological, behavioral, and social sciences in this field.

Financial support for the Foundation is received primarily from the brewing industries of the United States and Canada. With the rising cost of research, the Foundation has recently approved a plan to expand its funding sources to ensure its future will be as strong as its past.
