Sam Hassenbusch Young Neurosurgeon Award (Socioeconomic)

Description: $500 award given to a neurosurgical resident based on originality, merit, innovation, and scientific process. The resident must have contributed a significant contribution to the abstract. The abstract is chosen by two to four members of the Communications and Education Committee (CEC) of the CSNS appointed by the Chair of the CEC. This annual award is presented at the CNS Annual Meeting. If it is decided that there is no abstract that deserves the award that year, the ad hoc committee may choose not to present the award that year.

Requirements: Socioeconomic topic. Young neurosurgeon (no more than 5 years out from completion of training).

The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) is committed to facilitating exchange of the best clinical and basic neurosurgical science in our Original Science Program.

The CNS Original Science Program comprises three distinct formats: Top Ten Abstracts, the Neurosurgical Forum, and Digital Posters. Irrespective of presentation format, all original science abstracts are also made continuously available and then archived after the meeting as online digital posters.
