Funding OpportunitiesResearch/Mission Advancing GrantsThe NACDS Foundation provides unsolicited funding opportunities for projects that advance our mission to enhance the role and value of community pharmacy for the benefit of the public it serves.By conducting and sponsoring important research and mission advancing programs, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation helps advance community pharmacy's ability to more effectively serve the public.Research and Mission Advancing Projects FundedResearch GrantsResearch grant awards generally range from $20,000 to $50,000 to support in whole, or in part, an overall project budget aligned with the Foundation’s research priorities. The Foundation's research agenda is currently focused on the following Funding Objective and Priorities:Objective: Improve medication use outcomes for patients served by community pharmacy in the U.S.Research Priorities: * Projects that demonstrate the impact of patient care services delivered by community pharmacists. Patient care services may include, but are not limited to: o Medication Therapy Management Programs (MTMP) o Programs that increase compliance and persistence with medication therapy and improve outcomes of appropriate medication use * Projects that evaluate quality measures in community pharmacy practice and the impact on patient care. Mission Advancing GrantsMission Advancing grant awards generally do not exceed $20,000 for projects that support the Foundation’s mission, goal, and objectives. The Foundation's mission advancing agenda is currently focused on the following Funding Objective and Priorities:Objective: Advance community pharmacy for the benefit of the public it serves.Mission Advancing Project Priorities: * Projects that seek to enhance the community pharmacist’s role and value as a healthcare provider; * Education programs in pharmacy schools that help advance community pharmacy's ability to more effectively serve the public.DeadlinesThe Foundation accepts proposals for research grants generally twice a year. The Grant Review Committee meets on April 30 and December 1. You must submit your initial Letter of Inquiry 90 days prior to the above dates, February 1 and September 1, unless exceptional circumstances are presented to and accepted by the Foundation. A response to your initial request generally will be provided within 30 days.
