Helen Feigenbaum Memorial Award for the Promotion of Excellence in Nephrology Nursing

Purpose
To recognize one qualified nurse each year who demonstrates the commitment to excellence in nursing that Helen Feigenbaum embodied in her approach to clinical practice and quality care, leadership, collaboration, education, and research.
Award
$1,000 and a plaque
Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates for the award will be nominated.
2. Current full member of ANNA, having been a member for a minimum of the last 2 years as of the awards/scholarship application deadline.
3. Actively involved in nephrology nursing related health care services.
4. Active participant in ANNA at the local, regional, and/or national level.
5. A demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth and to the promotion of excellence in nursing in the spirit of Helen Feigenbaum.
6. Nominators are also encouraged to give first consideration to those qualified candidates who are facing financial hardship that would be an impediment to their professional development.
Outstanding Achievement Awards
Electronic submission of awards applications is encouraged. A completed application consists of:
1.A completed nomination form. For electronic submissions, the nomination form is available to complete online (see below).
2.A letter of nomination relating the specific criteria for the award. Nominations that do not meet the award criteria will not be accepted. This letter should identify the nominee and the award.
3.One professional photograph of the nominee (head and shoulder view) with the name written on the back. Color photographs are preferred.
For electronic submissions, complete the nomination form online, attach the nomination letter as a word processing document, and submit electronically. Mail or e-mail the photograph to the ANNA National Office. E-mailed photographs must be 1 megapixel (approximately 800 x 1024 pixels) or higher resolution.
