The Stanley Dean Research Award honors an individual or a group that has made a major contribution to the treatment of schizophrenic disorders. The Award includes a grant and a certificate. The recipient(s) also receives travel, hotel, and free registration at the Annual Meeting.

METHOD OF SELECTION
To encourage a broad range of candidates, individuals can be nominated as well as nominate themselves and Membership in The American College of Psychiatrists is not required. The Award is available not only to physicians but to anyone who has displayed excellence and dedication in the field of schizophrenic research.

Nominations should include:

a letter of nomination
the nominee's Curriculum Vitae.
a statement by the nominee describing her/his accomplishments in the field of schizophrenia research
