ASTRO/AAMD Accreditation Grant for Medical Dosimetry Programs

ASTRO and the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists have established a program to subsidize the costs of initial and continuing programmatic accreditation for dosimetry programs in the United States. This program awards up to five grants of $5,000 each. Applications will be accepted from educational programs of all types including certificate, associate, baccalaureate and master's. Eligible educational programs must show proof of an accepted self-study and application to the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology for programmatic accreditation. The application deadline for this award is June 15, 2009.

The Research Grant Award Program for Graduate Students will provide funding for graduate students conducting research for a thesis, dissertation or other required graduate research in the radiologic sciences. Four grants of $1,500 per year will be awarded to students researching medical imaging, radiation therapy or dosimetry.

The Foundation considers applications twice yearly on April 1 and Oct. 1.
