National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund 2008 Best Practices in Breast Cancer Advocacy Awards Call for Nominations

NBCCF is accepting nominations for the 2008 Best Practices in Breast Cancer Advocacy Awards recognizing grassroots advocacy organizations whose strategic, high-impact programs in breast cancer research, healthcare access and/or public policy can serve as models for other organizations nationwide. These awards are made possible by a generous grant from the Breast Cancer Fund of the National Philanthropic Trust.

As the nation’s leading grassroots breast cancer advocacy organization, NBCCF is uniquely positioned both to identify noteworthy organizations and to disseminate their model program with other groups eager for new ideas and successful strategies. Through the Awards, NBCCF is not only increasing organizations’ impact in the fight to end breast cancer, but also raising the bar and transforming best practices into standard practice. Organizations serving diverse populations and the medically underserved are encouraged to apply.

Nominations are being accepted for up to seven awards, in the amount of $25,000 or $50,000. The deadline for submission is July 15, 2008.
